To change the encoding of the webpage displayed in Conkeror:

You need to know the charset encoding name then and enter it, i.e. iso-2022-jp, or utf-8 for instance, and Conkeror will redisplay the page with the charset given. If you enter a bogus charset, Conkeror will reload the page, however the desired result will not be obtained, obviously.
