小錦三世

Konishiki III was the third Rikishi from Takasago-beya fighting under the Shikona Konishiki.

Full Shikona: 小錦八十吉 Konishiki Yasokichi

Original name: Salevaa Atisanoe, Sale for short.

We are friends.

We first met in Takasago-beya when I went for Keiko there in December 1997, shortly after Konishiki III retired.

Konishiki III arranged a Gasshuku for me at Michinoku-beya for the next December.

In the meantime he came to Praha to receive the UNESCO Fair-play Award there in 1998 and he explained the Ice-cube Tachiai theory to me when he led Keiko there.
